 Who is an Operation Harvest sponsor?
The Operation Harvest Sponsor is someone like you who has a burden for reaching the world with the Gospel and is willing personally to invest in the life of a Field Worker. Because Operation Harvest Field Workers are local nationals of third world countries they have no viable means of raising support. Your monthly gifts will help to meet the personal and ministry financial needs of your Field Worker and allow him to serve full-time in the field. When you become an Operation Harvest Sponsor you will have the privilege of praying for and writing to you Field Worker.
What are the benefits of Field Worker sponsorship?
The Field Worker you sponsor through Operation Harvest receives benefits and opportunities, which he uses to make a significant impact in the lives of many people in his community and beyond.
As a sponsor you have the opportunity to:
- Exchange letters with your Field Worker
- Develop a vital relationship with your Field Worker
- Encourage your Field Worker by partnering with him in this harvest field
What will I receive with my sponsorship?
With your completed sponsorship, you will receive a Field Worker Sponsorship Packet by mail in approximately 15 days. This packet includes a Field Worker Profile with family photo and a letter writing form.
How do Field Workers benefit from sponsorship?
Your sponsorship provides your Field Worker with:
- Leadership training to be a productive Field Worker.
- Monthly support, which allows him to serve in the field full-time.
- Guidance, leadership and administrative support from EE Regional and National Director’s, as well as the International Office.
- Encouragement by new growth of churches and health changes in his community.
- Will receive first hand the joy of seeing people become Christians.
What does sponsorship cost?
The minimum level of sponsorship is $35 per month. Typically, there are multiple sponsors for each Field Worker since their monthly salary and work expenses are greater than one Operation Harvest monthly sponsorship of $35.
May I send special gifts?
Yes, Operation Harvest encourages sponsors to give an additional ($25.00 suggested) monetary Christmas gift. In your Field Worker’s nation, Operation Harvest’s national leadership will use the money to purchase special gifts to be given to your Field Worker and family at Christmas. In addition to Field Worker Sponsorship, Operation Harvest funds several ongoing ministry projects that help cultivate the ministry efforts in each country. These projects provide scholarships, outreach tools, materials, and equipment necessary to implement, maintain, and grow the Evangelism Explosion ministry in numerous third world areas. How long will my sponsorship last?
The Field Workers believe God has called them into this ministry. And for that reason, a field worker may feel “his calling” for many years. Operation Harvest sponsorship offers you the opportunity to sponsor a Field Worker during his entire time as a Field Worker or for any other period of time at your option.
If I must discontinue my sponsorship, what happens to
my Field Worker?
We hope you will continue to sponsor your Field Worker for the duration of his time with Operation Harvest. We recognize that people’s circumstances change. If this happens, please notify our office so we can begin to look for a new sponsor and continue the Field Worker’s support without interruption.
