Meet Candido Americo Mafumo

Candido Mafumo lives in Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique.  He is the Assistant Pastor of the Faithful Church of Jesus Saviour and has been actively involved in Evangelism Explosion since 1995.  God has used Pastor Mafumo to reach many people through the EE ministry in different areas across the country.  

Candido feels called to serve as a Field Worker with Evangelism Explosion because of how God has used it his own life and ministry.  He encourages everyone he teaches to make EE a way of life and he is hoping to establish the EE ministry in many churches throughout his region. 

At the present time, the primary people groups Candido is working to reach are Ronga and Changana.  The greatest challenge in reaching these groups is in overcoming their traditional beliefs of ancestor worship.  Candido’s dream is to see churches planted by the EE ministry throughout the country of Mozambique.

Your sponsorship of Candido will enable him to fulfill his vision of working in communities that are dominated by ancestor worship, proclaiming the true Gospel. It will provide a living allowance to him and his family and will also provide the necessary travel and ministry related needs.
